DAWN DELEONARDIS

Dawn’s intention as a yoga instructor is to create a safe space for students to explore deeper versions of themselves through mindfulness, breath work, meditation and movement. Since 2012 she has been guiding yoga classes in NY, and integrating her perspective as a Reiki Master and Holistic Health Coach.  Now a Maui resident, the practices that she guides in her classes are an invitation for students to become present through the five senses, to become the observer of their thoughts and emotions, and to find the true Self ready to emerge under the layers of life.

Yoga has been one of the greatest healing forces on Dawn’s journey. She has been exposed to many different lineages and teachers through the years and enjoys the fusion of styles and philosophies, and integrate movement based on the energetic chakra system and cosmic activity. You can find touches of kundalini, buti, vinyasa, hatha and shakti in her sessions.

Other certifications she holds are SUP Yoga, Reiki Master, prenatal yoga and Sound Healing Therapist Level I. She also has her own coaching business Wela’vate, frequents the south side beaches, and adventures around the magical land of Maui.

MADELYN RYAN

Madelyn was born and raised in Denver, Colorado and is a lover of all things adventure, especially the adventure of self-discovery and magic through yoga.

Trained in traditional Indian Hatha Yoga which includes mantras, pranayama, asana and meditation, her classes are taught in a combination of English and Sanskrit to make classes accessible to all while incorporating the vibrational power behind the traditional words spoken throughout the practice. Madelyn integrates her background in psychology and therapy into the teachings in order to help further connect with the students and to hold space for them to heal on a mental, physical and spiritual level.

Madelyn’s personal journey to yoga has been one of discovering a balance in every aspect of my life. “We can simultaneously find a humble spirit and self-confidence, knowing when to hold on and when to let go, and listen to the body, mind and spirit and allow them to be in alignment. I aim to bring this sense of intention and balance always and want my students feeling as if they have had an experience rather than a class every time we flow together. I feel blessed beyond words to have found this path and to have the opportunity to bring the amazing benefits of yoga to others. Can’t wait to flow, grow and connect with you yogis!”
shakta maui yoga

SHAKTA

Shakta teaches the deep philosophy and practical application of yoga, guiding students through basic Sanskrit, chanting, meditation, methodology, and asana. He lives his practice as a complete lifestyle, beautifully integrating yoga with gardening, farming, nature, and community service. Drawing from Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras and the Eight Limbs of Ashtanga Yoga, Shakta helps students apply these universal principles to their daily lives and seamlessly weave philosophy into their own classes. He honors the profound influence of his teachers: Mātā Amṛtānandamayī Devī (Amma), Nadia Toraman, Kalyani Russell, Swami Dayamrita Chaitanya, David Williams, and Barney Chapman.

JENNIFER BONADIO

Trained and certified as a yoga teacher by the American Viniyoga Institute, Jennifer began teaching movement, yoga and meditation 32 years ago, but it was not initiated into its true depth until she was led to Viniyoga after a yoga injury 22 years ago. The guidance and training she received for her own rehabilitation and strengthening inspired her to continue to deepen her practice and explore the healing and creative potential of the Yoga tradition through the direct lineage of Krishnamacharya.

The long and winding path of personal healing and practice have given Jennifer a deep trust and enthusiasm for our amazing human potential. Her decades of experience in the Healing Arts both informs and inspires her teaching, and her clarity, compassion, and wisdom come through in the unique transmission of her Yoga Lineage. Her passion is bringing current Neuroscience and contemporary trends to our trainees in a way that inspires their lives and prepares them to share and teach Yoga in many different ways in their communities.

Rianne Vestuto Maui Yoga Shala teacher

RIANNE VESTUTO

Rianne’s soulful classes are a result of her own embodiment journey, and nearly a decade of education and experience in the healing arts.

Yoga is in her bones— she started practicing yoga as a toddler, and embodied movement became a sanctuary for her life.
On her yoga mat, she was able to find safety, embrace her extreme sensitivity, and ground into the sacredness of her body. This ongoing connection to yoga and energy led her to the teaching path.

Rianne’s unique, embodied perspective of the somatic body and aura, combined with her devotion to Love as a healing tool, creates a sacred, multidimensional space where students feel empowered to access their own healing power and hidden gifts.

Rianne has trained with some of the most prominent teachers in yoga, prana vinyasa, meditation, reiki, somatic healing, dance therapy, fluid feminine movement, chakra balancing, and shamanic energy healing. She also holds a degree in Somatic Healing from CUNY Graduate School. Some of her most prominent influences and mentors include Shiva Rea, Rodney Yee, Colleen Saidman Yee, and Jonathan Hammond.

Her classes blend earth wisdom, alignment to facilitate flow of prana, and cultivating deep and true self love.
